The Granger Collection is delighted to announce our largest and most important acquisition in many years: the astonishing treasury of color transparencies and black-and-white prints ranging in time from the Rome of the Caesars through the Washington of Nixon that was amassed by Laurie P. Winfrey of Carousel Research during four decades of dedicated and energetic picture research.

Included in the tens of thousands of color transparencies – mostly large format – are a great many taken by a number of fine art photographers including Bradley Smith and Seth Joel, in China, England, France, Egypt, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and the United States. All are being digitally restored to their original vibrancy and fidelity. Most are being scanned for the very first time and have not been available previously anywhere online.
